2015 World Rainbow Gathering Sinai Egypt, guests of Sindbad Camp Dahab, Egypt.
A number of people are gathering in Egypt for the 2015 World Rainbow Gathering in Sinai, Egypt.
They are generally spiritually-minded, ecologically-conscious people from all over the world who gather to form a temporary autonomous zone for peace, love, living sustainably and gently with their environment and with each other.
Many see this as a fulfilment of many prophecies, including one by the Hopi Native Americans who foresaw that a new generation would arise to heal the broken poisoned land.
“When the earth is dying there shall arise a new tribe of all colours and all creeds. This tribe shall be called The Warriors of the Rainbow and it will put its faith in actions not words.”
– Prophecy of the Native American Hopi people –
2015 World Rainbow Gathering Sinai Egypt:
The Rainbow is a leaderless non-organisation, a non-religious movement that is respectful of all sacred journeys, a tribe of existential nomads gathering around an ideal of a new heavens and new earth, a better more harmonious world that starts small and local but has potential to offer a new way of living for all.
Dahab will be the base for this gathering and we have chosen Sindbad Camp as a good place to meet and join up in small groups to start the long trek into the mountains.
Some of us are staying here. Its a privilege for my family to be here. We think it will be a really special and significant event. A place of peace in a world of conflict.
