Dahab
Dahab used to be a hang-out for backpackers and travelers. There was no luxury at all and the time was spend by being stoned and playing backgammon.
Nowadays it has become a divers-paradise, the accommodations are much more upgraded and cleaner and the
joint made place for a glass of beer.
What remained is the relaxed atmosphere, the personal approach and the enormous hospitality.
Food is still very cheap, but much more reliable than it used to be. There are many small restaurants and terraces where it is great to hang out. At most you spend about 12 euro a day on food. As long as you are not tempted to go to one of the expensive restaurants. There you pay almost European prices, but the food is extraordinary good.
